Just got my "Little Purple Cirlces" CD.

Those of you who know them know why I'm taking the time to actually start a thread about another band. They're heads and shoulders above anything I've ever heard from a so-called "un-signed" band.

For those who don't know them, you can check out a couple of their tunes HERE.

I don't know where the CD can be purchased, but as soon as I find out, I'll post it.

My favorite tune is "What you Were meant to be", though I might find another favorite after a few listens. I remember it being the first tune I ever heard here, and thinking "Whoah! I better go back to the drawing board". It wasn't very encouraging to hear this first time I clicked on a link in this place.

I love these guys, and they've also helped me with my own music more than they will ever realise.

I'll listen to this as soon as I finish playing with the bubble-rap!!! :D

Check 'em out!!!

Thanks much, Rami !!!!

I'm glad the CD made it, and that you are enjoying it. As much as we've learned about audio engineering over the past couple of years, I feel we have a loooooooong way to go yet.

The next record should be better in that department (along with a few new pieces of gear and a studio make-over!!!)

We should probably update the Nowhere Radio page with some final mixes straight off the CD. (That's Supercreep's job)

Despite it's warts, and it's weak spots, I'm pretty proud of the CD overall. We hope to challenge ourselves and stretch out a little more next time around, though.

Thanks again, man. It means a lot when coming from a musician of your caliber.

I've got to second everything that Rami said .....with the exception of having received the CD - still on my to-do list....but their music has affected me in ways that still surprise me in the depth of the feeling that it invokes....
Nothing else to add - just proud to claim membership in their fan club! :D

Yeah I got mine last week as well.

Really was a nice treat.

I had heard most of the songs before, but a CD is something else

I love the way it turned out, nice job on all the songs.

My fave is Pictures of you, it has a brilliant nerve to it.

And the the song Shaking hands\ the time I took.

Sheer briliance.

Thank you both Incanus and Supercreep. :)

I may have worn it out already.... ;)
I've had mine 3 hours and it's worn out. I'm just enjoying it, so I'm not going to do a "review" or anything. But soon I'll do a "RAMI" magazine (RAMI is supposed to be in "CREEM" magazine font) exclusive!!!! :p :D

How'd you guys get yours a week before me? I got mine through a friend of a friend. I guess you got yours through the actual friend. :D :)

I stole mine. It was at teh local record store, waiting for a midnight release party, and I gave the dude some beer for it. :D

Yeah I downloaded all mine on limewire a months ago :D :D
jk, I stole em from Dogman's stolen copy when he was passed out on 30 beers.
But yeah I agree... everything I've heard from them is excellent. Great songwriting, recordings... etc. There's only two songs up now though, you guys need to post more there or have your own site or something ;) Off of memory, I remember "The Time I Took" being my favorite... but I haven't been around long enough to hear all of them.

A very artistic album. My favorite at the moment is Pictures of You. The fact that Supercreep and Incanus are so humble makes the music all the more interesting.

Tim actually intrigues me too, he's always invisible so you never know when a Tim post will show up.

Stop Teasing

Hey RAMI et al,
Stop teasing. Is Beautiful World on it? What are the "to get" details? When are some of you folk going to follow suit & compile your stuff for distribution? So much of the stuff on this forum is excellent that I've REALLY slowed my CD purchasing rate - I'm too busy listening.

Thanks very much everybody

We really appreciate you guys. Sorry to miss Naka on the credits - I'll get you next time.

I'm working out some details with someone who will distribute the music for us and will post that in this thread if you guys think its okay. We are definitely not here to sell anybody music. :)

Hi guys. I have had my Little Purple Circles a while now too!! I have listened to it quite a bit, but not as much as I have wanted. It sounds sooooo goooood!!! I love it!! I will spend some serious time with it this coming week. :)

Partially my fault, bro. Remember I PM'd you to double-check your address? I had already put most of them in the mail by then. But somehow it was slow going to you--Naka's was sent out only 1 day earlier, but he got his days before you it sounds like, and he's on the other side of the bloody world!!!!!

It's that BC bud. They can't even find the post office after a couple of bong hits.

...and add the 3 days it takes me to find my mailbox. :)

I was just about to post about the CD. I wouldn't know where to start. The arrangements, the vocals, the odd-times and time changes, the imagination. It's insane. I've noticed about LPC's music is that there is no filler. Not only song-wise, but every second of a song means something or is there for a reason. Every song has a hook, which doesn't neccassarilly mean the predictable chorus. The drum beats are hooks, the vocal arrangements are a hook. The incredibly effective guitar riffs. This is song-writing and arranging at it's best. My personal taste is a little heavier, I would have liked more songs to have the energy of "Shake Hands", but that's personal.

I'm usualaly too caught up in the arrangements and harmonies to take a close listen to the actual musicianship, but I gave a good listen to that, especially the drumming, and I have a new found repect for Casey as far as musicianship goes.

I'm going to steal all your good ideas and form a band called "Huge Red Isocolese Triangles"....Mwwwaaaahahaahahahahahah.... ;)

How do I get a CD of this?

Thisd is the same guys that do that tune Crazy from th Sunshine right? Definitely. I like their sound. Beatlesque in some ways. Supercreep you are the singer/drummer right?
