listening while tweaking

when applying something like e.q. in edit view, is there anyway of listening to the whole mix whilst tweaking the knobs in the eq section to get a better impression of what is happeneing, rather than applying eq then going back to multitrack view to listen to what ive done?

i only use cep for my eq-ing, i have no external equipment at all.


any help much appreciated
 
Z: nope. You can listen to the effect on the particular track you're working on in Edit View. If you like the sound of it, you can apply the effect (EQ or whatever) to that track, then flip over to Multitrack View to listen to what it sounds like in the context of the whole mix. If you like it, then save the changed track. If you don't like it, then it's time to go back into Edit View and work on that track some more...

oh well. i thought i may have missed a setting or something that would allow me to perform the task. anyway thanx for your help dobro.
