this was my first band track... band could be abit more organized but what do u think of the tracking and recording?
thoughts would be greatly apprecaited.

thanks

you'll get more responce moving this to the mp3 mixing clinic

i think it sucks......terrible music. if music at all.

tracking sucks too. the vocals dont fit in there at all.

I think for a first recording attempt of a whole band it is great. I have to admit the vocals are quite cheesy sounding. What did you use for recording? I think the mixing of the drums and vox could use a little improvement but it definitely sounds a lot better than some of my attempts at recording. Keep at it.

Yeeikes! Vocals gotta go man! Other stuff sounded ok...the vocal track sounded burried a bit, on top of the quality of the attempting singer

I've heard worse. MUCH worse. I actually have to throw in some "kudos" on the guitar - Most novice engineers tend to throw WAY too much high end in the guitars. They wind up with that "dog-pissing-directly-into-your-ear" effect. These are actually quite dark and could use MORE high end.

Other than that, yes, certain elements (vocals, hi-hat) seem a little disjointed and set apart from the rest of the mix. Don't let that discourage you... This is what we all went through at one time or another.

Even with the subjective lack of "seasoning," it seems that the absolute root is there - Meaning, the sound is reasonably clear & clean, and is probably a fair representation of the actual sound that was recorded. That's a good thing. Without that, you're nowhere. Keep it up.
