He posted this to get people's "comments".

I guess so.

Why the bitterness that people are just stating their opinion??? This is a forum exactly for that purpose.
Yes it is for that purpose. So I did read 'the opinions' carefully. Took them seriously. Listened to the recordings. Paid attantion. And then have stated my opinion... including my opinion of 'opinions', that have been stated previousely.
So?
Why the bitterness?
Well, the 'bitterness' happened to be a part of my opinion... I guess :p

Of course some people are talking out of their asses...
Yes, they do.
Why the bitterness? - cos' they do ... that is why ;)

But to put people down for giving him the opinions he was asking for in the first place is a little weird.
I do not put people down for giving opinions. I react to people's opinions by stating my opinion about their 'opinions' ..;)

and so are all the guys who have posted their 'comments'... even thou they may think that 'learning days are behind' for them...and now it's time to teach ;)

Talk about a true-ism! I really like my drum sound right now. In fact, its the best its ever been. There is ALWAYS room for improvement! I still learn good tricks here! There is the occasional misinformation, but you soon find out who's blowing smoke.

Can i just say one thing,

Please stay away from the whole Bonham thing its not really anyting like it, the sound and the feeling is wrong or is not there, i have studied Bonham's style and sound and played in this style with that sound for years and seen many people try to do it and failed miserably,

Sorry. :o

^ Since your so good at Bonzo's style, why don't you post something for us to shoot down as well?

Kick, toms and snare should be alot more punchy and upfront. Dont think its mic or mic positioning, more mix technique you should work on.
Sounds like a nice drum kit.

Rock on Brother

The recording is bad. And personally, I didn't like the playing. And it sounds like I would'nt have liked it if I was there either. And Also I dod not like how the drums were tuned and the cymbals sounded weak. Furthermore, I did not think that it grooved that much. But other than that. Good Job.

Ok, I messed around with the EQ a touch, trying to get a bit better sound out of the kick, because that's what I thought needed the most work. I boosted the 31HZ a bit, and the 62HZ just a bit less than the 31HZ, and I dropped the 500HZ a bit. Kick sounded much better. Of course, the snare sounded bad then, but if the kick was on it's own track, these EQ adjustments would help. Of course, this is only my preference.

I did this on the "Various Grooves" and "Messin' around on the kit" selections.

i will

when i next do a bit of recording i will keep the drum tracks and give you a sample. Check out www.stryderonline.co.uk for some pics of the kit and stuff there will also be some sound clips on pretty soon! :)
