I enjoy your energy. You got a phat thang going, good luck with it.

This stuff is BRILLIANT. You're making me want to quit trying
Listened to all of them and they're one after the other AWESOME. Please never stop. :D

I've got to agree with everyone here-this stuff is great. I listened to those 4 songs all day at work yesterday. For one guy with a sm-58, the recording sounds damn good to me. When you have a cd ready, I'll buy it.

chrissharis: here is a list of audio programs that i like. i don't know where you stand on pirated software, so i'll just assume you're an honest person whose budget is unlimited... like me.

cooledit -- even though it has more problems than any other program i can name, it is still my favorite

fruityloops -- awesome sequencer/404 synth/arpeggiator AND VST support.

Recycle -- very useful for tempo manipulation

AnalogX Programs -- analogx makes tiny, useful audio utilities.

WarpVST (plugin) -- amp modeling plug-in. it makes my acoustic guitar sound electric. sorta. well not really, but it's fun.

Auto-tune -- i'm not very good at using this as it is intended to be used, but it makes for some interesting effects.

PSP Vintage Warmer (plugin) -- pretty good.

Ozone (plugin) -- supposed to be a good mastering plug-in. too complicated for me, but i like the multiband compressor and the parametric EQ a lot.

programs i hate:

cakewalk
sonar
soundforge
reason
reaktor
anything by native instruments
vegas
acid
fruitytracks
steinberg plugins
and many, many more.

what programs do you use/hate?

thanks, everybody else.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahaha... That's classic. Thank you for taking the time to post that. I have a couple of the AnalogX plugins, but I need more...or something.

Oh yeah, and I thought I'd mention that I too hate cakewalk. That software is about as intuitive as a poorly translated VCR Manual. CEP forever!!! (but, that's probably for another forum). Thanks again.

id slip the cd in my top 10 rack at home. Highly entertaining dude!

Great tunes. Very good sound. "Living Is Easy" sounds alot like the Captain Matchbox Whoopy Band. I don't know if your familiar with them. I bought their Smoke Dreams album many moons ago. Those guys are very funny too. Keep up the good work.

Fun! Everyone hears different things. I'd say Brian Wilson Smile era meets They Might Be Giants, maybe, I don't know, or someone from the 1920's.... But I dig it, clever and stuff. Listening on headphones sounds great, but on my somewhat shitty computer speakers, it did get cloudy/muddy, and the vocals got lost. I would think a better mic would make your life easier as far as that sort of thing goes. Who are your influences?

Great song-great writing-very good playing-you have some cool production ideas too-nice website -I spent a good hour clicking around there. But the most impressive thing is that James Randi read one of your prank letters on his radio show!! lol(also a randi fan).

As far as the mix-it sounded real good-I thought the acoustic guitar sounded a little bass heavy-personal pref perhaps...Excellent work!(liked the other tunes too)

i like the mumps, doc watson and tommy james. i think they've all influenced the sound somehow.

say, macle, are you an engineer? recording engineer? -- was wondering.

james randi is awesome, but where's my million dollars?

Me? No, not really, I mean, I'm just a doof with junk in my bedroom. Uh...why was you wondering?

Speaking of Doc Watson, someone 'round these parts did a Doc Watson number (who was that?). I didn't (at the time) know who Doc Watson was, I, uh, spend too much time watching Elimidate. He's quite the picker, and I do hear that in your tunes.

Anyway, listened to your other tunes, as well, all real good.

this is excellent! it's gotta be a lot of fun being able to play the guitar like that. damn fine guitar playing, and your singing is awsome. but the part that really stands out is the writing. i actually fell off the chair laughing with the "i'll see you later" thing that decomposed into giberish! freakin' genius!

sorry i missed your earlier posts, i don't know why the name cat-eggs didn't just make me want to listen on it's own.

just listened to hi-ho stereo. that's it i'm downloading everything now. this is good shit. have you shopped any labels yet? great lyrics...i'm giving up on the trinity...genius!

in comparison the tone on the guitar is better in linving is easy imo.

After listening to your stuff for 15 plus times I think its more than just your lyric that makes these songs. Its the way you put them together, your inventiveness. Having said that I think you could get a lot more sparkle and sheen into your music if you moved up to a decent condenser and a good mic pre. Because you are mostly acuostic based I think it would be the bigggest help to your sound. I don't think you have to spend that much to get there either.
