Linux Multitrack recording software. Which one and why?

Yep, if you may believe the Linux Journal, then 2.6 is what it will take.

2.5 already included ALSA from start, and 2.6 will add low-latency and pre-empting.

By then we will be demanding our own forum on this bbs!

I just read about that, and it does sound good with all the support for the pro cards. But I still feel that I will what until the Linux community does a release like Peanut, Redhat, Mandrake, Lycrois, etc. You know, where it's a total package done from the bottom up to be a unifide whole for audio, just put the cd in and go.It won't be long, I think, but untill then I'll keep playing with my Mandrake / Turn Key system.
