line out to mic in help

hi, i need to record the line out from my sound card on the mic in of my DV camera. can i do this without frying my camera? is there a cheap solution to cut the amplitude of the line out to mic levels?
i am afraid if i just turn down the volume on the sound card it will be noisier.

Why don't you do this instead...

Put the VIDEO from your DV camera onto your computer hard drive?

But, if you don't want to do that, you could see if your camera has a regular LINE IN. Then try to import the AUDIO by using that input.
