Hi,

Question about levels in my Aurora 8.

I have a Trident pre on inputs 1&2

The Trident strip has a Instrument in (DI)
that is routed to to Stereo Outputs on the
back.

When I plug my Bass Guitar into the direct in
and monitor through Cubase, by input levels
are low. (also in my Lynx mixer)

I have to crank the Trident output to 9 to
get the optimum line levels. However
then the gain meter on my trident
is going in the red, everytime I hit a string.

I can hardley here the bass through my monitor.

However, the Trident has a headphone jack on the strip
so I pluged my headphones in that and nearly
blew my ears out (level was accurate)

Any suggestions.

I already sent e-mail to lynx

How's the -10/+4 compatability between the devices involved?
Is it all one or the other?

If all devices are now at +4...is it possible to switch the Aurora to -10 at its input, which would give you a hotter signal there....?

Yes that worked at -10
But the output of the trident is -28dbu

I think DI or Instrument in on the trident is just plain bad.

I get good levels through the mic input

but the DI, just can't get a good signal with passive pickups
