Line in problems

Up until about a week ago I was doing fine running a digital 4 track through the line in on my soundcard (creative SB!Live) and I was recording in cubase and occasionally sonar. i updated my soundcard's drivers and it messed up so I rolled back the drivers and the sound started working again and everything seemed fine, right? WRONG.

Cubase shows that the correct input is selected and active and sound is coming out of my speakers but there are no levels and its acting as if there is in fact no sound being inputted. I cant figure out what to do. Creative wouldnt help me b/c my card is OEM or something so I'm left wondering is it a soundcard problem or something in cubase i could change.

any suggestions? thanks.

did you try reinstalling the original drivers for SB live instead of rolling back?

You have to enable the line in for recording. By default it's off. When you re-installed the drivers it probably got set back to defaults.
