Line in levels

Hey now: I'm uploading my music from md to computer. I've noticed the higher the line/in levels, computer, the higher dc noise?? noise when nothing recorded, but nothing when line/in level to Zero. If I lower the levels on computer and use higher md volume, less noise. What's the best, other than don't use MD, md volume higher, or computer line in higher....


mixing...patience and knowing when to STOP!!!!
 
Are you getting DC or noise? Any time you turn up a cheap amplifier, it will raise the noise level. DC is a completely different thing. If you notice that your waveform is off center, that is DC.
