Lindsay Jamison of Ben Folds' Group

Hi,

Just saw Ben Folds last night in Moscow, ID - great show. His drummer used no OHs! He had an AKG D112 for kick, some SDC on HH, and clip-on something or others for snare, toms. He also had a 58 for vocals on a gooseneck. He uses 2 crashes and a ride that sounded beautiful, but how did we hear them?? I'm guessing that his clip-ons picked them up somehow. Anyone....Bueller?

The show was awesome! The Dr. Dre cover (expletive deleted here) cracked me up, as I had not heard it yet. If you haven't heard it, it's a single on itunes - fully worth the $.99.

I'm still mystified by how well his cymbals were picked up by the other mics.
