Greetings,
I am finially getting to the end of final mixing of the Remix I have been working on for 2 months. I need some advice on limiting the mains in Acid 3 pro. The "soft limiter" setting in the track compressor seems a bit "heavy" in it's settings. I think the compression ratio is set to like 3.5:1. I am trying to get the levels as maxed out as possible through out the song but I am pegging at +.6 to +1 db at the song's climax. Is this little bit of pegging enough to worry about? If so what settings would you recomend to give my mains a nice gentle limit? Mind you I don't want to compress the dynamics just limit the peaks.
