Limiters

Do any of the stand alone multi track recorders have built in Limiters for recording and mastering?

Yes, my 1680 with the efx cards, has several compressors and limiters. Altough I wouldnt use them, they are no comparison to physical outbord gear that you control manually.
 
Most have digital limiters which don't do you any good during tracking. For that you need a limiter before the Analog to digital convertor if you want to prevent clipping.
