The drums need help on perfect picture. Ghost of a train sounds pretty good.

Owl- Welcome to homerec, I saw your username and I immediatly thought of some ads I saw on the AtlantaMusician.com website. Looking at your info, im assuming your the same person.
I checked out the first song. Kind of reminded me of something King Crimson might do. I really dig progressive type stuff but im more into the metal side of the genre. My only real complaint would be with the drums. They weren't terrible but I wish they had been a little more involved or intricate.
What did you use for the keys? Thats a mellotron sound right? Interesting stuff needless to say.

My take on "Ghost of a Train": ambitious...the Beatles meet Rush...this music would be good in an intellectually-challenging "avant-garge" movie...did find that highest cymbal(?) sound a little distracting, it sort of stuck out conspicuously and didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the drum kit.

I noticed it sounding a lot like Fripp as well. I'm a King Crimson fan though.

Thanks man, I AM THE OWL, one and the same. :D

The Mellotron is actually a soft-synth (as are ALL keyboard sounds on that track), I downloaded a couple freeware 'Tron VST plug ins (one was Tapewrom, the other was Mellowsound, both are quite good).

Thanks to you and everyone for giving these musings a listen, greatly appreciate it!
