Hi all,
I'd like to know if someone wouldn't mind sharing a little input on the following concern of mine: I am interested in adopting a different manner of recording my vocals. I had been using my AW16g, which did a good job of things. But I then had to travel through a few processes by which to get these vocals into my computer. I now wish to go in direct, and have been considering either the Lexicon Omega AS, or Digidesign's MBOX. It has been given to my understanding that the both of them are well worth their respective costs, but the MBOX has the Focrusite Mic Preamps - while the Omega is outfitted with dbx pre's. Would the Focrusite pre's be consideration enough (over and above its dbx rival) to warrant shelling out more for the MBOX? I really don't know much about mic pre's, and it could very well be that the dbx type might be just as good. Please shed some light.
