I finally put out the money to upgrade my memory for Pro Tools - so I'm back to recording again.
In order to put more effort into keeping the tracks more "unprocessed", I used the factory compression and EQ plugins only on the tracks.

Ah, it's you! Shitkicker music. This stuff is luverly. The vocal can come up a step or two, you know. It's getting outclassed by both the banjo and the mando.

All the sounds are good, and the balance between instruments is good. But, as Dobro noted, the vocal needs to come up and take control.

I'd like to hear a vocal harmony in the chorus, the style is made for that. Excellent playng and capture of it all.
