Lets try something Again!Worlds Collide

Hey all! When we did the "Woolton Church" experiment ..It was alot fun and I learned alot too!It was really cool to see how everyone approched the same "germ" of a idea. So I got to thinking why not try it again!But lets try to consern ourselves with form..Everyone knows the basic Verse/Chorus form and some of there variations {title in the first line of chorus} and {title in the last line of chorus}ect.So I was thinking lets add a bridge to keep it interesting!So we will end up with Ver.Chor.Ver.Chor.Brid.Chor out!...The song Private Dancer byTina Turner is in this form {just for referace purposes}.I know that its hard to just write without the "muse" and being clinical is a bit cold...But if we are doing this just as a "workshop" approch then who cares!This isnt a test no ones gonna fail! No stress... this is about helping each other ,newbies and acomplished writers..maybe it will help some find the "muse" who are in a rut ! For the common "germ" I was thinking "Worlds Collide" and as before ,the same thing applies..It can be anywhere in the song in the verse or chorus it dosn't matter.. used anyway it fits for you....exp. "When Our Worlds Collide" or something like "Worlds Collide when I see you there" It doesn't matter"Worlds Collide" just there for a common ground for disscussion perposes!


Also it can be any style Rock,Metal,POP,Religious,Country ect.
So lets give it a go!Gonna be fun!

Hi Don....I was hoping to see some interesting ideas pop out of the woodwork but maybe the subject line is a little too HOT for everybody right now. or perhaps the guys are working on the one great song that will define the experience of the last few weeks for us all. We are surely witnessing the collision of worlds at this moment in history. Maybe I should get to work on that masterpiece too. No doubt there will be some fine songs come out of this. Any thoughts on the subject??
 
Hey Chaz..You are right my timeing is a little off!We will see what everyone has to say on the subject of the 11th,in there own time.
If I was going to write a song about the 11th I don't know how I would do it....Its really a big emotional subject....I will try to come at it as a metophore maybe?My thinking is of useing a relationship.....But I'm not sure yet..
I'm kinda stuck......When I thought about this thread of "Worlds Collide" I really didn't tie into the 11th..I really just liked the sound of the words and had no notions of what they ment at the time! But the connection is inevitable, it gonna be hard to do the thought justice ,but I will try.. As you say... Write on

Something Else??

Hi Don,,,I have a little book titled "EVERY CLICHE' IN THE BOOK"
and now and then I will pull one out and write a song for grins
Here is one I was toying with last year but didn't have much success due to other distractions but I will toss it out for your consideration. " IT TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE"
Could be almost anything, a fool, a liar, a jerk, a songwriter , whatever. Got any ideas??

Hey Chaz, I feel a country song coming on! LOL...So thats what we will do is change it to "takes one to know one" good with me!
I guess that I will post it up to a new thread..Stop confusion as to the titles later on...
