Finally got some time for some noise, a lot less than I wish I had-its rough but done for now. Figured I'd run outa licks so I put a few verses of vocals-Baby what you want me to do-fit the shuffle beat-scratch vocal so its nothin' great.
First leads a Tele, next my Frankenstrat, last my Gibson "the Paul" all through a Peavey Classic 20 amp.
Theres about 15 seconds of silence at the start, the fade in I had there somehow dissapeared..

Forgot to add that I liked your clean and overdriven guitar parts you put down Gorty, just like a couple dudes having a guitar duel! :D

Thanks to you Gorty and to Ibanks as well, I just thought it was a good lyric to add to the shuffle beat. I just kinda blurted a few verses into a mic and let the reverb cover what it could :o
Thats a little 15 watt tube amp that records pretty well for a home studio amp, preamp volume was on 9...master on 4..guitars on 10..(but then shouldn't guitars alway be set to 10?????)

Here's mine! If you can't be best, be first!

Chain:

Fender So-Cal featuring Brian Wilson Presents Smile sticker into Peavey Extreme RAGE! (solid state channel) to MSH-1C to ART Digital MPA to Wavelab 5 via Steinberg VSL2020 card.

Also, I used a few plugs :o :

Guitar track: UAD Nigel, UAD Plate 140

Master bus: UAD Plate 140, UAD LA2A, UAD Roland Space Echo (for some dirt), UAD Precision Limiter

:D

A very original journey into the land of dissonance MsHilarious. I think that Thelonious Monk would have played it the same way if he played a Fender solidbody. I now recall your story of adding a tube stage to the Rage amp. Pity that it decided to act up now! An interesting look at the blues there!

Really really nice. :) Nice vox. Solos are really cool, too. :)

Rockin'. :)

You could develop this into a proper song even outside the rumble.

Thanks a lot BigBubba, it was a rushed job to get it done between last night & an hour after work today. I was gonna lean a little more to traditional blues leads but I kinda went that way with Tim Lawler's song and didn't want to copy the same stuff onto this song..(same key as well) :)

Not that any of you care

but I'm going to stop listening for awhile so you don't influence me. I gotta be gone for awhile and I want to take a stab at this later.

That's right, APL. When I get back and get my stuff reassembled, you might actually hear me play.

Then you'll wish you hadn't.

A lot of music in this thread! Just starting with the first three…

Mshil – big tone, expressive phrasing. Those first four verses especially are hot.

Refin – Pro playing definitely. Some of the spirit of Charlie Christian in there, playing with the Benny Goodman Sextet. Super.

Gorty – Tone everywhere dude. I like the color/effects contrasts between the different phrases.

Wow tony, that was cool.. I think the first time someone laid down some vox on a rumble.. cook stuff.. sounded great overall

I would like to get in and add some real drums but I need a mix with out the drum machine.

Thanks VSpace, it just seemed to work with the progression so I went for it-also not knowing what not to add as well~

No real mixing, I just tried matching levels a bit-leads are still a bit too loud but I guess thats what electric guitar guys will do anyway.

And happy belated birthday by the way-you are another of the September crew! :D

PS-Don't you just love the lines Refin layed down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
