Rokket

Trailing Behind Again
Submitted for those involved in the last Guitar Rumble, here is another track to play with. One minute long, simple guitar/bass/drum machine:

I am working on a bass track for dogman. Once that's done, I'll post it and we can do part 3.

I am not going to enter this one. My arm hurts too bad to fiddle with my guitar, but you all have fun!!!

BTW, it's a 320kps MP3...

Nice tune here, Rokket. I might try a real solo to this one, since no one laughed out loud to the last one. :D

Sure, go for it! :D

Good work Rokket. I'll see what I can come up with for a solo.

Obviously you worked hard on this. Thanks.
Sorry about the arm.

It'll get better. Thanks for that!

I wrote this piece as a song about a year ago. The tracks have been on a zip disk, and I "found" them again when I got my external harddrive and was transferring stuff. I just edited it down to a little over a minute for this contest.

Have fun. I can't wait to see what you do with it! :D

Very cool stuff, Can I ask what you guys are using as far as recording and transfering files?

Don't know if this is what you mean but here's how I handled the files in the last round...
Audacity to convert the backing track mp3 to wave file. After that, cubase mixing down to 16/44.1. Then just the Musicmatch Jukebox app that came stock on my Dell laptop to convert to mp3 for posting because it's easy and sounds good.

Or did you mean something else?

Tim

Ah, OK...

I used Vegas 5.0 to transfer the mp3 to a mono .wav file at 16 bit 44.1, then transferred that to my MR-8. I did my solo and transferred the tracks back to Vegas for a quick mix. The MP3 was converted to a stereo .wav file prior to that.

I uploaded it to the link I gave you in my other post.

It was mostly improv, took about 5 minutes.
Thanks again to rokket.

Thank you! I downloaded it and saved it in my music files!

Bah! I can't solo. Screw that.

Maybe I should actually learn my scales. It would be a lot easier.

Come on now geet. Not being able to solo hasn't stopped me.

I just finished mine, so when it's uploaded, be "READY TO RUMBLE!!!"
Ok, just soil yourselves laughing.

All right now!!! Get ready to Rumble. This is it. You won't F@#$N belive this one. (Ok, you will.) My humble adventure into this foray.

Word of note...
My wife let me play her guitar a bit, so I thought, what a great oportunity to show my chops, and skills....or lack thereof. Be prepared for the musical onslaught that ensues.

Disclaimer.....
not responsible for scared children, loss of hair, sickness or death. Thanks you.

I could tell when listening just how much effort you put into that solo Dogman.

Youve got alot of heart bro.

I admire that.
