This sounds really cool. The song is really cool. :) The vox is pretty cool. The restrained guitar before the first chorus is very cool. The vox sound cool in the first verse. But in the second one kind of seem out of tune or something. I am not sure what it is but sounds like it might be out of tune.

The guitars jam sound cool.

I'm not really hearing a bottom end.......cool tune though!:D

Listening now...

Guitars sound pretty good, I like the effects. I would have probably panned them a little further left & right.

I like the vocals, they were performed and recorded well. In a few places they do sound a little "pitchy" or like he's not quite in tune but close. Drums sound great, nice, full sound.

At 2:12, the guitar on the right sounds kinda bad and startled me a little.

I don't hear a lot of low end at all and it would really make the whole mix sound better.

If I were the band I'd be pleased, but may reconsider retracking/overdubbing a few parts like on the vocals, or the guitars in that one spot. Other than that I think it sounds good and pretty near-finished.

Vocals have that whole Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog vibe. I liked it. Vocals were pitchy in a few places but I dont have room to talk :) . Good tune

I liked the first part of the song better than when it gets loud. The guys more in tune with his voice. The drums and bass sound good. What did you record this on?:) www.secondhandcherry.com

. What did you record this on?

It was all tracked on a Fostex VF160.
Most of the drums into a ADA8000 pre the rest into the fostex pre.

Drum mics... Beta 52, Beta 56 x 4, Kel HM-1's for O/H, GrooveTube GT-55 for room mic, JoeMeek JM27 for hat and bottom of snare.

Vocals Oktava MKL 2500
Bass DI into a behringer Bass DBI21
Guitars Eppi Valve JR. SM57, Beta57, and Oktava MK319

I think that's all.

Mixed with reaper, almost all of the plugins are free ones.

Sounds good, Timboz. The drums might have a little too much room sound. They're a little box-y to my ears. I don't know if that's something you can just EQ out around 200-400hz, or if using a little less room and/or overheads would smooth it out. Just my opinion, others say the drums sound great, so it depends what you hear. Good tune, I like the build up in energy from beginning to end.

great sound. very full sounding...the bass drum sounds really good. the mix sounds real balanced to me. Very nice job...

Thanks RAMI and Jason.

I'll work on the drums.
I was thinking everyone was going to tell me I over did it with the reverb on the dirty guitars.

2nd mix sounds a lot better, way more low end and a much fuller sound. Doesn't sound overdone.

Too much reverb on the distorted guitars though. Or too much decay time.

The bass sounds really cool. Now the 2nd verse sounds fine. Don't know why it didn't sound fine at first.

The tune is catchy without being pop catchy. :)

Oh the bass sounds cool.

The song is put together very nice. At 3:08 the lead sound a little shrill on that note. Just that one. :) Nice rhythm composition and arrangement. :)

Sounds good. I personally would have done some things differently, but they're personal preference things only.

I thought you got a pretty meaty guitar sound.
