Les Paul Scratch-Plate

In my recent attempts at 'learning by doing', I removed the scratch plate on my LP studio. I've re-attached it but it seems to be a little wobbly. Can I jsut confirm that some of you LP owners in the know that it's only supported by 2 screws? One to the right of the neck pickup and one on the support rail, anchored at the side of the body?

Yep. Only two screws.

Sometimes...the screws are loose because the wood gives out.

Take a toothpick and stick it in the screw hole as far as it will go, break off the excess...put the screw back in.
That should tighten it up.
