Anyone heard of these. Are they any good. I saw one today at a garage sale for $75. It needs a little work (one pickup needs to be screwed in & maybe new tuners).

I may try this out. Assuming the neck is straight etc... what do you think? Worth while?

Just so you know, my elec guitar (Peavy Horizon II) has a warped neck and I'm hesitant to put the $ into fixing it. Maybe this would be an OK middle step to getting a new strat or something.

After all...you can't have to many axes right ? :D:D

Thanks in advance.

75 bucks...Hell if you can tune it go for it..Those were the copys{Aria and Ibanez} that use to be around when I was a kid..I had one "Black beauty"when I was about 14..See if you can get it for about 50.00..let us know how it turns out..Good luck

i'm with philboyd. i used to play with a guy who had an aria pro LP and it sounded/played damned well.

don't know about the non-pro series, but i had a regular aria SG copy, and it played quite well. pickups weren't so hot (hot as in power, not tone-it actually sounded quite decent, just a little mellow for my taste), but for the hundred bucks or so i got it for, it was well worth it.

frankly, if the neck is straight, and you're paying no more than 75 bucks, i can't imagine where you'd go wrong.

if it's not a pro, the output jack may be pretty crappy (just my experience).

in any case, sounds like a good deal to me.

Way back in the mid 70s I had an Aria Les Paul copy and it was a fairly good guitar. If I remember right the sound was just a little twangy on the bridge pickup but otherwise I had no complaints. If I found one for $75 I feal pretty sure I'd have to take it home.

Heh...thanks guys & gals. If he hasn't sold it yet, I'll ask him if I can give it a little test drive to see how it plays. That way I can check it out a bit closer too. I may have to get this one :D

Thanks a bunch :)

I played an Aria Pro F-5 copy mandolin for 15 years. A very nice mando that suited me well. It was a gigging delight. Loud, clear, and stayed in tune, which was a must, cause I beat the hell out of whatever I'm playing. Still have it, even though I dropped it a couple years ago and broke the neck. I'd say jump, for 75 or less.
