How can we get this right? Is there a different mix I could do for you to redo the drums to?....my wonky drum machine is Fruity Loops set at 140bpm. I don't know if you could maybe make yourself a click track at 140bpm, synch it to my rough mix and play over that...or I could do you a mix with whatever you want in it like bass, guitar & vox and a click?
Your call but havin your drums in there is now a MUST. I'm workin all week now and just popped in on mjy lunch break for a quick check....glad I did, I feel like takin the rest of the week off

You should be able to just plug them in and line them up with your stuff... The 8th-note build where the drums come in with everyone else should make for a nice guide...

I'm having some real problems with these drums man......
When everything is lined up the two parts with the warbeat thing going on with the toms is way off time, the stab fill I have at the end of the guitar solo rolls instead of stabs so I have a bass, 2 guitars, keys and a solo all stabbing to nothing.
I wouldn't mind retracking the bass and guitar parts I've already recorded to fit with your drums but at this stage in the game I don't thinik it would be fair to ask everyone else to redo their parts again also.
How would you feel about having another crack at the drums? Just tell me what you want in your mix and I'll throw it together for you.
I also think having everything on seperate tracks would be best idea. Your full kit mp3 was a bit cooked in places and the volume of the toms was way below everything else.
I really dig your style and am excited about having you onboard so let me know one way or the other,

Uploading a zipped file with the drum tracks now... Prolly be done in an hour with this slow-boat connection... 
Tonight will be the only time until early next week I'll have to throw this up, and I only had a chance to do a couple of takes with the new scratch track (thank you for that btw )
This is the better of the two takes so I zipped up all the tracks (eight) and it's 108,161,164 megs zipped...
There's a spot on the 2nd set of 'war drums' where I do a bit of a flub... I know I'll listen to it later and it'll bug the peewad outta me, but maybe you can do some creative editing since you now have the toms broke out....
If not, I'll do what I can to fix it later....
I'll PM you the link and then it's nighty-night for this bunny...

Back from the dead....
Yes, I know.... I've been away for ages. Here's a rundown of recent events....
Got the seperate files of drum tracks from BentRabbit. They were good, really good! apart from one timing issue on the last verse and a smal hiccup earlier in the song.
After getting them to sit as best I could the rest of the music sounded all over the place because it had all been tracked to canned drums and Bent's playing was a lot more human sounding, so.....
I retracked the bass, the main picked guitar, the main lead guitar, the chorus rythm guitar and the acoustic guitar. Things were better but there were a couple of drum rolls in the last verse that weren't quite right. I spent several days with them under the microscope, trying to cut n paste parts in from earlier in the song but, with the drums spread over 8 tracks this turned out to be an impossible mission.
I now realise my lack of work with real drums over the years has become a real downfall in my game plan.
I then went back and tried to use samples from Bent's drums in drumagog to trigger a new drum pattern I programed in fruity loops, another full days work just to find I couldn't get the toms to trigger correctly
So the bottom line is, I had to scrap the real drums and go back to the canned ones, all be it a new pattern but it's not what I wanted. Bent, I'm sorry man I REALLY tried everything I know to get your drums in there....and failed totaly.
After that I had to walk away and leave it for a few days. I don't even wanna TRY to count the amount of times I've heard this now. I'm sick to death of it.
Here's what I think of my mix... my guitars are too thin, the guitar solo it too loud and too wide and the vocals I should have spent a lot more time on. I've just thrown it all together to grind out a result that I'm not really that happy with. I had big expectations and my lack of experience has shattered that vision.
I think I mentioned a few pages back about putting this up (for adoption?) for other people here to have a crack at mixing it, if anyone wants to they can. I just need somewhere to host it as I have no space. I'll include the canned drums as well as the real drums and maybe someone can show me where I went wrong and what could be done
