Layla24 or 2408mkII

a partner of mine is helping setup a studio and need to know which is a better setup.

they have a G4 with Dp3, a Layla 24, Motu 2408mkII, and a Mackie D8B as the main recording equipment.
with DP3 and the D8B, which card is better to run?
 
The MOTU. It'll have 24 channels of Lightpipe and TDIF for connecting up to the D8B, word clock inputs, 8 more analog ins and outs and S/PDIF.
