I guess you could say my songs aren't twangy country, maybe more contemporary or cross over. You be the judge:

I'm not a big country fan at all, but I like a lot of the old guys like Hank, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willy etc. In small doses. This just seemed like some kind of pop country and nothing like the "real deal" as they say. Didn't really grab me or speak to me in anyway. It's not bad. It sounds good as far as recording music goes it doesn't sound the a complete shit demo, but it doesn't really sound original. I'm real big on being as original as possible in a world where everything has been done already lol
 
Mix sounds good man...it's light and airy, really easy to listen to. Only possible area for improvement is to bring out the vocals a little more (a smidge) and possibly emphasize the bongos or percussion a little more, put it in its own space.

other than that, great job man!
 
Sounds really good to me. Except the vocals seem to sit funny compared to the other instruments?!?! Did you record all the parts in the same place??? At home??
