Technically, I'm not a 100% noob, but I could imagine this question to be considered so.
I recorded some midi tracks in Cubase AI4, piano, bass and drums.
The piano and drums play back as usual, but the bass, for the first time, has a delay of almost a bar, which I cannot solve by any of the asio settings. When I play the instrument realtime, it's all good. But when I play it back from the recording, the monster 'latency' kicks in. The notes really are synchronised in the key editor!
Only thing I can think of: instead of the Yamaha KX49 keyboard, I've now been using a very old electric piano thru a midi-usb interface. But I fail to see how this could affect playback.
Specs:
- Vista laptop: 3GB of memory, Pentium Dual Core
- Cubase AI4
- Asio4all driver
I've never had this before, and I've been using this (less than ideal, i know) setup for a while now (except for the electric piano as a controller).
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
