latency issues with reason 5 rewire into reaper

hey all,

i have using a yamaha p85 as a midi keyboard in reaper and after a long and arduous quest, i finally figured out how to rewire reason 5 through reaper. however, the latency im getting is ridiculous and i cant figure out a way to reduce it down.

anyone have any problems with this? how should i proceed? please keep explanations simple as i am REALLY new at home recording

What soundcard/interface are you using?

Try updating to ASIO drivers if the card will support it.
