thanks man...im going back to Scotland, its like 5 million crazies

:)

OK Ive taken some of the HFs off the snares, had a bit of a reduction in most of the mids and gave the bottom end a tweak...I think its a bit beefier and less dense now...

Nice. I enjoyed that.

Travel safely...or at least die in a newsworthy event, like a train crash.

:D

shit dont say that, i fucking hate flying  lol

glad you liked the tune though :)

Well as much as I hate to I am going to just keep it standard and say that I love the hell out of it and you are the shit, you rock the world, I am not worthy, etc, etc, etc. :D

I really do like the new style "dub" that you are going with, dude. It has one hell of a great feel to it. This is a short one compared to some of your other tunes and it makes you want more, which is a good thing.

Just wanted to say safe travelling dude and hope you can still be a part of the crowd while you're gone. I wish I could see Scottland (or wherever you're going), but I will probably never leave this hell-hole of a town that I live in.

Anyways. Have a good one. :)

Whaddaya mean you're going away????? Where to, close to Krautland or Old Blighty???
Are we gonna stay orphaned now and how long?? Questions, questions....
This sounds as good as all your usual stuff...time to pack everything on a CD, methinks.
Don't you dare not keep in touch......

Thanks Justin man...much appreciated. Yeah Im liking this direction too...unfortunately when i take a break i sometimes come back with a different idea, thats how this spurt happened lol

yeah theyre a bit short, which is going to piss me off if i have to pay to get them mastered per track, twice as many! ;)

Scotlands great mate, I havent been back in around ten years so Im looking forward to it, maybe one day you can drop by, theyre great folks...mad as fuck mind you :D

Going back to the UK till around mid August but travelling light, great time to make beats though and read some books on mastering...im 6 tunes into a CD, I think I need 12, then whether Ill get them mastered pro or not...so wont be until October sometime but Im looking forward to it...the culmination of two years learning this...finally something to show for it :)

Ill pop in every now and then...just no tunes...this is like my crack, Im going cold tofurkey! :D

Cheers BH...funny thing is I was thinking Prodigy's "Voodoo People" when I made it...I used to go to the Social in Clerkenwell when the Chemical Brothers DJ'd and that was one of the best tunes they'd spin...Ill have to listen to it again to make sure I havent totly ripped it off but great if its in that vein

thanks for listening man :)

Speaking of prodigy, this guy did quite good 'covers' of voodoo people and smbu. Interesting the samples used and how close he got http://www.vimeo.com/12929178

shit dude thanks for sharing, that was excellent!

I dont use samples cut like this unless it vocals, breakbeats, or FX....Ive got a ton of ideas for using old northern soul basslines I have and thats given me some ideas..

That video shows why I only use Ableton, the speed in its workflow for dance music is unparalleled as far as Im concerned

Im gonna stick these up in the Ableton forum...thanks for sharing BH, I really enjoyed them :)

Sounds great, I enjoyed listening to it. I like how you always experiment with different beats, rather than use the same old regular stuff people tend to use in this type of music.

cheers man....nowt original, I kind of try and learn the trends back in the UK...

damned if I can do four on the floor all my life...you may as well just use the same midi file with different drum samples for each track :D

I'm playing it on my truck stereo. I like the bass and bass drum sound alot. Also like the high end sizzle. The guitar sounds low fi...by it fits the mix well. I agree with earlier poster that a more straight forward beat would be better (for my tastes that is). The sycopated beat was Well done though.
All in all it's a great track.
Very professional sounding results.
Congrats.

not sure if you posted in the right thread...no guitars here jimi :)

If it is this one then thanks for the listen, a straightforward beat is prolly easier for everyone, including myself, to get...its just the direction Im going in

glad the mix sounds all right..I took some tunes out in the car yesterday and there were some big errors in the bass...gotta get a decent Hi Fi for reference, this happens too much :o
