Last one for you my friend:

I've got myself the Deox-it and CaigLube (5% version) and wanted to know where inside of the 244 I should use these 2. As you're familiar with the 244 I thought I'd ask. I'm having a couple of probs with pops and clicks with track 1 and 2 and wanted FIRST to cover any possible problem with the Deox-it and CaigLube before taking it in for servicing. Perhaps all the 244 needs is a bit of these 2 products. I just need to know exactly what areas to spray.

Thanks again!

Daniel

Last question? A likely story!!

If you can pull the plastic knobs off the offending controls, direct the nozzle to get a few drops of the product down the shaft from the outside of the Portastudio. Meaning, you do not have to open it up to get to the controls and switches.

With the switches, you may simply get a few drops of the product to leach down into the switch from the top as well and no knobs or switch covers need be removed.

Once you have gotten the Deox-it down inside the control or switch, rotate and/or push the switch on and off several times to work it in and spread the cleaner.

Get the picture?

Cheers! :)

Yes, thanks a lot but where does the CaigLube come in ? Also, I was wanting to put some Deox-it on the inside electronics when I pop the back open. I need some advice with regards to that.

Thanks!!

Cali-lube is best used on sliding faders.

As for other spots to hit while in and around the unit, do the jacks on the back.

Inside, I don't believe there is much needed and as the old saying goes; "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".

Cheers! :)
