Hey im looking for a large diagram Mic for vocals around 100-200$ any suggestions?

MXL v67g is a great mic. I can personally attest :D It runs about $110 new, I think!

used AT3035 ($100-$200 used)
used AT4033 (closer to $200-$300 used)
YMMV

AT2020 if you want a new mic.
AT2035 if you want to spend a bit more. A little more SPL tolerance, but both have plenty for most applications. And a better signal to noise spec.

I started on an AT4033a, pretty good mic, a little better for female voices though. I currently have an AT3035, kind of a cool voice over vibe to it. I never tried the 2020's yet. But I see them used for $50-$100-ish all the time on craigslist. AT4040 if you have a few more bucks. AT4050 or KSM44a if you have lots more bucks. KSM27 / SM27 if you prefer Shure. KSM32 / KSM44 if you have more bucks.

Although not really $100 - $200-ish as most of those MSRP > $300 for a new one. Online you can get them less than that, street price. And used 50% MSRP is a common baseline.

The V67G is a good one in your range.
The AT 3035 is also pretty good.
Studio Projects B1 might fit the bill for ya too. Not too sure about it for vocals tho mainly cuz I've never used it on vox. Maybe someone else has tho.

Amazon has the AT2020 for about 70 bucks, and a vendor has the @035 for around a hundred. Both with free shipping. The 2020 seems solid as a brick. Another mic that gets really good reviews is the MXL 2003A, about 170. Be careful if you do go that way to ensure you get the 2003A, when I ordered initially I got the 2003 sent, no wonder MXL used 2003 boxes for the 2003A, they just put a little sticker on the box that says 2003A. Otherwise the packaging is exactly the same, including the specs for the 2003, which are different to the A. I bought direct from Amazon so getting them switched was easy.

SP B1 ($150) - nice full sound on vocals (male and female)
MK319 ($100 used) - full, darker sound on vocals
AT3035 ($130) - thinner, clear sound on vocals (less low end to my ears than the above 2 mics)
NT-1a ($200) - good on male vocals (has 2db bump at 150hz) - some say it is harsh on the highs, but I have not noticed this

Fariz,

If you're using a computer-based studio you could use a USB mic. Here a few large diaphragm condenser USB mics in (and two even below) your price range:

1. The Samson C01 - $79.95
2. The Samson C03, which is a multi-pattern LDC - $149
3. Audio Technica AT2020 - $92.95

Hope that helps.

Happy New Year!

Ken

If you could squeeze out $350. you could get a Stellar CM6. A great starter microphone ~ look it up in the microphone forum to learn more. ;)
