Hi all. I'm fairly new here so be gentle 
Eventually I'd like to get myself a laptop computer to do home multitrack recording. The reason is I'd like something easilly portable that I can take to my guitarist's house and back, and then edit tracks digitally. Anyone have experience with this? Is it better to go Mac or PC? What kind of specs should I look for? And what is a reasonable price for a computer like this? I am just starting to look into this, so any help anyone can give me would be appreciated? Also, what is the easiest way to input the different devices (mics, etc) into the computer? I would want the ability to record at least 4 or more tracks simultaneously.
