laptop recommendations

Im looking into getting a laptop so i can have a moble recording setup but i dont know what to look for.

How much ram and hard drive memory should i get, are there certain laptops that just suck for recording.

Im looking into getting a firewire interface so is there anything else i need to look for besides a firewire port?

Anything would help becuase i dont know too much about computers and haven't been recording for too long.

at least 1 gig of ram, dont worry about a harddrive, i suggest you buy an external for more safe keeping of files.

and at least a 1.4 ghz proc, anything less will pretty much be like to freaking slow.

also, buy a firewire card for the computer cause the one built into the comp can be a little faulty.
