I had just bought a Lambda recording interface by lexicon. I installed it everything went perfect. I went to record and got this buzz/beeping sound that wouldnt go away unless i disconnected my microphones XLR cables from the back of the port. I can record and the sound is very minimal when im not recording. But as soon as i hop onto Cubase LE it gets very loud and annoying and i cant record. Any help ?
my mic is a b-1 behringer with regular XLR cords ...

Should i use gold plated cords?

Is the microphone cable or preamp running next to your monitor?

I have found that the computer monitor can be a major source of electrical noise.

i do have the monitor a few feet away from the mic and the pre amp...the mic is about 5 ft from the monitor, and the preamp is right next to the monitor...i'll try that...the cables are on the ground next to the computer...

didnt work...i really think its the XLR cords because my microphone is goldplated and im not sure if that is the reason. The xlr cord i used with it that made the sound was a musiciansfriend.com generic brand..the guy at lexicon said it sounds like a ground wire and this only happens when i connect my mic...any body know whats up ?
HELP PLEASE ??
