Lack of drums………

I really need to add some drums to my acoustic guitar recordings. Fruity Loops just isn’t cutting it. Do any of you have any experience/opinion yet of the Boss (Roland) DR-3 drum machine. Are the sounds passable for real drum sounds? Can I record from the drum machine (into my PC using Cakewalk) or is it just a “play-back” kind of deal. Sorry for the ignorance but I have zero experience with drum machines. The Roland site doesn’t offer an on-line owner’s manual so I can’t see the details of the unit. Are there any other drum machines that you would recommend?

FruityLoops should cut with some effort-

Get some better samples, and take time to learn how to use the Piano Roll editor and it's quantizing features..

Especially the new FL Studio- it can do anything a decent drum machine can, plus you can eliminate sync issues by keeping it all in the computer
