yes. One installation last year was fine and I had good results with it. The next installation with the latest updated driver following a crash a few months ago, was nothing but problems, so I removed it and re-installed the latest creative drivers.
I've been using Sonar 2.2xl with kx drivers, sblive and 98se for about 12 months and find that it works very well.
I run with 5.33 m/s latency. The Kx asio driver has yet to give me any problems. I'm currently using KX Version: 5, 10, 00, 3534.
I had a hell of a time installing them (version ...3537)with WIN 98SE. I tried a number of times and the last time I tried I got a windows screen with no icons or taskbar just my mouse pointer. I waited for a while and when I came back to my machine, it must have eventually boot up but there were problems with the driver in my Device Manager.
I then went to the APS drivers and installed them fine. However I really like to be able to use the Kx ones.
Did you update your Kx drivers?
Anyway, sorry for taking up the time talking about Kx, I know this forum is for Cakewalk.
I went into the card properties and did a "driverupdate" at that level. IN XP it does an autoinstall and removes the creative drivers, but in 98 I would assume since the creative drivers are already loaded it doesnt concern itself with a new set being resident on the system, so you havge to manually delete all the creatives stuff or do the update driver in device manager.
if you have a Dell w/ SB Live. I tried installing it on my system. it didn't work, and have been having a problem with my card since. Even after using their driver cleaner.
