Since when does the band show up for the gig without their axes???
 
about magnetic pus and 'bronze' strings.

acoustic strings are called 'bronze' but have a steel core so both 'bronze' and 'steel' strings can be used with magnetic pus, the steel/nickel or steel/steel ones give a stronger signal though.



kurt always got the most god awful tone no matter what strings he used.

faderbug is right. The Taylor ES system is based off of a magnetic pickup at the neck joint.
