KRK V4's series one and series two: Any appreciable difference?

This is probably not a good question to ask but I thought that maybe there was an enthusiast out there who might know something.

I've found some old reviews from 2002 that really rave about the V4 series one. KRK say they have a new driver and improved amplifier "components" in the series two V4's. However the specs appear to be the same.

But my knowledge of cameras tells me that quite often improvements to classic models are not as good as the originals. Does anyone have any practical knowledge about the series one vs series two.
 
I love my series 1 v4's, but those little things crap out really hard or just maybe i push too much. Ive compared, AND the v1 kicks the v2 ass all day! YEAH the v2 can pe pushed harder far as volume but its just not the same.
 
Dig up some reviews online (they are out there) and they all say the V2 is an improvement in every way.
 
I haven't used the original V4's, but I have a pair of the version V4's and I really like them a lot.
