I'm using it with FL Studio. From time to time, my new Korg Nano Kontroller stops working and I have to open up the MIDI options to rescan the hardware.

I'm not sure where to start looking for the fault - or if anything can be done about it. I assume it's just a weakness with the design of the Korg...?

Who else uses one? Anyone else experience random functionality drop out with theirs?

I've had problems getting the 'puter to recognize the driver before, nothing that drops out like you describe. I'm sure Korg would tell you it's a usb issue and not their problem. Are you using a hub? Anything else usb connected? What OS?

As usb "polls" constantly, looking for other devices, I'm wondering if prolonged inactivity makes the connection "time out" somehow.

No, it doesn't seem to be a timeout issue because it can occur whilst I'm moving a slider.

The only thing I could think was because my computer keyboard is in front of the Nano, I might have inadvertantly brushed a key with my wrist. I'm not sure how it would generate a fault like this though.

I'm not using it on a hub. The manual says specifically not to use it on a hub, so I have it plugged in directly to the back of the PC.

My computer is using a Dell keyboard which is USB. I have tried this KB on a PS2 adaptor, but it will only work through USB. I wonder if some kind of polling might be happening there?

I'm using Windows XP Home.

Thanks for reading.

No prob Doc. I've had pretty good luck with mine, but it hasn't been as easy getting everything working as it could have been. Took me a while to get a grip in the software editor.

Use mine mostly with Line6 software which is kinda hinky too.
