So i had $600 burning a hole in my pocket and wanted some triton love and figured i'd pick up this thing after reading nothing but good reviews on it.
The sounds on it are superb , the patches lean alot to EDM more than anything else and the computer editing software for it make it very easy to create your own multipatches etc, the dual plyphonic arps are great fun to fool with and are totally programmable giving great scope for complex motion sounds.
It's essentially a Korg Karma "lite" with influences from the radias and other more familiar triton patches. It is alot of fun to play and jam around on and the display menus are easy to navigate on the fly.
Major gripe is the build quality , the case and especially the ends are the worst I think i have seen for durability , alot of cost has been cut to bring the synth in at this price and this was the main cost cutting along with the keyboard. I thought the optional keyboard for my radias was bad until i played this thing.
Also the ac adapter socket and plug are a terrible fit , you better hope nothing brushes up against it because this is a "snapoff" disaster waiting to happen, its so flimsy that you cannot expect to gig with this keyboard.
For my use its going to be plugged into my studio and not moved , ill play it using my fantom keyboard as a controller and will be making sure nothing comes near the back of the unit. In this respect it'll do its job and will be worth the cash just for the sounds, vst control and audio quality alone.
Just dont expect to gig with it or use the keyboard to play , it is what it is , a glorified sound module
