Korg D8

I have some questions about the Korg D8 digital recorder:

1) What kind of built-in effects are in this recorder?
2) What is the quality of these effects?
3) Can you get good quality sound from the dedicated guitar/mic input in this recorder, or would using a direct box help?
4) I heard you can record from the Korg to a CD recorder. Is this true?

Responding to your queary about the d-8.It's got every effect you can think of and the quality is good to exellent.I use an external effects box in combination with the internal ones just because it's easier.The guitar sounds are o.k. but an in box or something would be better for distorted sounds.The d-8 will mix down digital or analog to to whatever you got though Korg does not specificly mention cd recorders.
