Korg d8 and recording a band

Well, hello.

I really love this site and BB. I'm very new to all this and considering the purchase of a Korg d8 (1695 dutch guilders, that is aproxx 850 us dollars. Is that price any good?)
My only worry is how to record the drums with this machine, since you can only record two tracks at the same time. Hence my questions:

1. How do I record the drums with the d8
2. Would it be better to pay a bit more (1000 us dollars is the price of Roland vs840 and the limit of my budget), I mean: is the d8 a lot worse than the vs840?

Take a look at the Roland VS-840EX.

I've seen new ones for about what you are going to pay for the Korg. 4 tracks simultaneously w/ built in effects.

I have an old 840 which I am going to upgrade and have nothing but positive things to say about the machine.

The manual, on the other hand .....
