Forgive my ignorance, but can you manage your music (like, individual tracks) recorded from the Korg D32XD on a program lik Sonar...I just want to be able to look at each track in a song I record and be able to edit and manipulate them efficiently on Sonar 5?

If so, how much control will I have over it...I am affraid that if I buy Sonar, that i will not get what I am looking for because all that I hear about these kind of programs is how to make MIDI dance music...I really don't need all of that

I just want to be able to produce and present my music in a post-recorded fashion after I complete my preliminary editing on the Korg D32XD...

any comments or suggestions would be VERY useful,

thanks

Actually, Sonar would not be a particularly good choice for midi dance music, something like fruity loops would be.

I have Sonar 3. Yes, you can do what you want. It's WAY more than a midi sequencer, I cant even use 1/10th of its capabilities.

Yes, Sonar 5 will do just about anything you wish it too, and more. If you're new to the program, there will be a HUGE learning curve that will require patience and effort on your part to learn.

But you can do MANY MANY things w/ Sonar beyond the Korg's capabilities. Editing et al, is just a very small part of the vast resource you'll encounter w/ this program.

It may, though, be overkill for you if midi is all you desire. I'd check out other less expensive products that may also suit your needs fine. Sonar is very deep ... but comes at a commensurate cost.

Best,

Kev.
