Kodak is (was) a competitor with the company that I consult at that produces liithographic plates for the printing industry. Kodak didn't have deep enough pockets to compete with Canon or Nikon in keeping up with the digital era of cameras in spite of the diversity that Kodak had. It's kinda sad. Just as it was when Polaroid went belly up.
I have had great luck with Kodak products. I'm sure they can turn it around, lots of companies come out of bankruptcy. Well Polaroid didn't... but I think Kodak will probably make it.
