Before I ask, I'll provide what relevant gear I have:
Maschine Mk II (Hardware + Software)
Avid Mbox (mid level)
I'm trying to end up with a similar setup to this person
He's using the Maschine software and (I think) using Komplete through the hardware to send MIDI to both his keyboard controllers. Are both his controllers routed through his interface if not Maschine?
I'm aware of how to get Maschine to 'talk' to another MIDI device but it feels like I'm missing something in the routing chain.

PS: I do not have a keyboard controller yet. Still debating between MPK261 and Nektar P6.
