I´ve done it!
Just want you to know how crazy I am....heheheHOHOHOHOOO

Shure SM57 front of Marshall Amp
Shure SM57 rear of Marshall Amp
Rode NT2 1.5 mt away for room
a drum trigger (is that a PZM?) placed on the Marshall (cone?) (woofer?) I don´t know how it´s called.

THE FOURTRAX!! :D
4 tracks of shredding solo sound.

NOTE: since the (PZM?) makes a lot of crankle noises, this is no good for anything else than solos for me...

Opinions would be really appreciated...

You sicko!!!

Never heard of micing the back of a marshall cabinet. Isn't that supposed to be closed on the back?? Does it make sense to mic it?
PZM on the cone? Wouldn't your cone sound better without this? If you're feaking anyway...

The sm57 in front of the cab, and room mic is pretty common practice though...

You can try more crazy stuff, by the way. We've been recording vocals through the flexible tube of the airco (one of them movable standalone thingies...). This gives a cool sound.
Stereo micing techniques come to mind...

Don´t try to stop me... you are not Michel Preud´Homme

HEHEHEHEHEHE

The Marshall is a Valvestate Combo... it´s open...
the PZM does no harm to the sound...and it sounds sreddy...

Don´t stop me now!!!!!!
If you wanna have a good time....lalalalala!!!!!

heheheheHOHOHOHOHO

try it!!!

What´s an airco??

It's called a PIEZO and is completely different to a PZM (Pressure Zone Mic)
