Kick Drum Compression and EQ

I really want to get a fat kick / bass drum sound. One that's really really big.

I use a Machinedrum by Elektron - it's so flexible, if you haven't got one check it out. I record it into Logic.

I understand I need to be using EQ and compression - I was just wondering what tips people have for the settings for these? Or any other advice?
 
also layering your drum with bring a fat sound to your kicks and drums.. try that when your making your next track
