I'd like to find a keyboard player simulator plug or program...being that I'm not a keyboard player I'd still like to add that dimension.

Are there any plugins or programs out there that can simulate a keyboard player?

Gee, get a guitar player plugin, a bass player plugin, and a drummer plugin and there would be no need to actually have to play anything.

What you can do, is use the Piano Roll View to create a midi track, and then route the midi track to a DXi or VSTi. There are many DXi's that will create a keyboard sound. You don't need to know how to play keys. You just need to create the appropriate notes/chords - which if you have any knowledge of music you should be able to do.

I did the keys in this song that way, and I'm not a keyboard player either.

I already do that. I'm interested in something more though.

If I understand you correctly you could perhaps use some autocomp-program like Jammer or Band-in-a-box and move the keyboardparts into the app of your choice - like Sonar. I even think there's some similar tool included in Sonar as an mfx - never used it though.

I've got Jammer and have done that. Jammer is a little better than what I can do. Sonar does have an arpeggiator that I have not tried. Thanks for the tip.

I think some software company needs to create a keyboard player plugin. There really is none that I am aware of. The demand would be high being that there are many more guitar players than keyboards players in the world.

I'm not talking about the arpeggiator. I think I meant JMT Orchestrator. Haven't tried it myself but there's a lite version included in Sonar. The arpeggiator is probably of very limited use as a substitute for a keyboard player. There might be something more in the same lines among the third party mfx. If Jammer and BIAB is "close but no cigar" this might be the extra convenience you need.
