I'm mainly making Hip Hop/R & B beats..... Would ya'll suggest a Korg Triton or something like a AKAI MPC 2000????

I have a Gateway 500s
2.4 P4
512 SDRAM
Shure SM58
ACID PRO
SOUND FORGE 6.0
and Fruity Loops

I get sick of Fruity loops, I need some hardware... What ya'll think??????

Both are great pieces of equipment. MPC (2000, 3000, 4000 and the 60) seem to be the standard in Hip-Hop beats. Lots of choices though:

ASR-X (crappy sequencer)
EPS-16+ (mine treats me good)
ASR-10 (big brotha to the EPS)
Yamaha Motif (never used one though)

just a few......

I hear ya though, I got way tired of clicking the mouse in Fruityloops.

Peace~

So say I buy the MPC 2000, what else do I need to buy to get the beat onto my computer so I can lay it down in ACID and put my vocals on it??? Any suggestions?

I would get the MPC....

and then another keyboard to do melodies with and so on. Get a mixer too. If need be, you can just take the outs of the MPC and plug those into the "line in" on your soundcard to get your beats on the comp.
