Hey everyone!

Been awhile since I posted here. Ok. I've recently been playing out at this little restaraunt, and up until last week I was doing solo guitar/solo piano with vocals. Then I needed to borrow someones keyboard ( a yamaha PSR 4000) which had a couple funky grooves (auto accompaniment) built in. Now I had to return this keyboard but the manager says he wants to hear more of the accompanied stuff, like the smooth jazz. I need a new board anyways, and I really really wanted something with 88 weighted keys. THis would be easy in a stage piano, but I need to sequence songs because I'm solo, and I want the accompaniment. Is there any way I can have the best of both worlds for under 1000? By under a thousand I mean like no more than 7 or 8 hundred, MAX. Some advice would definately be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Ow boy. You want 88 keys AND build in sequencer under 1000? Hmmm. Won't get a new board with those fancy things.

What you can do, buy a cheap sequencer (eg Yamaha QY70) and a cheap weighted keyboard (fatar maybe?)... Or look for some older used keyboards. There aren't that many though. Some older Korg trinity's maybe, and the kurzweil K2000...

There VERY nice new boards, Yamaha Motif, Korg tritons, maybe roland Phantom (haven't heard alot of comments on that one...), Kurzweil 2500 and 2600 (little older already) ... But they are still quite pricy...

You may want to look at the Yamaha PSR-GX76. It has 76 keys, and some nice accompaniments (Nothing to write home about, but does the job...). It's dirt cheap too (300$ish).
Great value for money.
