I know you thought in and about 500hz, but as I passed through that area w/ the sweep, there must not be a lot of freq content there because it made almost no difference. Most of the tone change occurred down in the 300hz range and up and about 875 cycles (which I cut).
 
nice arrangement - lots of layers but it seems to keep it's clarity - nice work
 
No complaints about too much bass is a good sign!
